Wreck Diving
Straight Westward from our beach front facilities,
the M/V Maverick lies only a 5 minute boat ride
away. No other
dive facility is closerto this majestic and
impressive
artificial reef habitat thanAdventure Eco Divers.
The 100M
long wreck of the passenger ferry M/V Maverick
was intentionally sunk in April 1997. She rests
upright on the
sand at a depth of 30M, providing a fantastic
opportunity
for divers and a superb habitat for many reef
creatures.
A large jewfish, barracudas, and huge schools
of smaller fishes are frequently seen in the
underwater carnival on
the wreck. Much of the superstructure is covered
with
dozens of different corals, sea fans and colourful
sponges.
The white sand surrounding is patrolled by Southern
Stingrays and schools of snapper. The Maverick
was
"eco'd" before it was sunk - all the
wiring, oils, glass, and
other hazards were removed. This makes its a
great site
for PADI WreckDiver Specialty Courses, and other
first time wreck divers.
Night Diving
The coral reefs of Tobago come alive at night!
See
spectacular creatures like toadfish, moray eels,
lobsters, basket stars, and tons of crabs and
shrimp. Many of the
hard corals are active at night and extend their
tentacles
to feed, making them even more beautiful than
in the day.
Night dive are fun and easy. Adventure Eco Divers

completed in as few a three dives. Night
dives are
conducted regularly, virtualy any evening that
weather
permits. This means we can arrange a night dive

more
beautiful after dark and easy to enjoy, so don't
miss a
chance to night dive with Adventure Eco Divers.Mount
Irvine Wall and Dutchman Reef make excellent
locations
for night dives, and are directly offshore our
beach front facilities.
Coral Reef Preservation
Planet earth has only a few coral reefs. Let's
try and keep
them nice! Corals are very fragile. Even the
slightest touch
from fingertips, straying gauges, or an errant
fin kick can
do irreparable harm. Never touch any coral with
anything
at anytime. CORAL
is making the world a safer place for
coral reefs
Our team of PADI instructors teach the PADI
Underwater Naturalist Course each week. Sign
